The Incredibles: Rise of the Galeforces - Chapter 4: Family Affair

Metroville, 9:30 AM, Saturday, March 8, 1980
[Splashdown:] Back at the Parr and Squall households, we'd managed to liberate the talking chicken wearing goggles. He was huddled in a chair at the table, and the four of us were sitting around him with concerned expressions on our faces.
[Helen:] "Now, if you could explain yourself?" I snapped, hoping we'd get some answers before I deep-fried him.
[Pluck:] "Well, to put it mildly, you were right about what Aperture is up to. GlaDos is the one behind it all. It was her idea to reincarnate the late Supers first and foremost, and also her idea to alter their mindsets so that they are loyal to Aperture alone." (Stratogale)
[Stratogale:] I was happy this guy..umm..chicken knew what he did. if he really did know so much, he could help us with mom and my uncle. "Do you know where they're holding the supers called Apogee and Tjhunderhead now?"
[Pluck:] "Not here in this city, unfortunately - Aperture's facilities are situated all over the world, but I have recieved word that the two Supers you mentioned are being held in their main headquarters alongside Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity."
"That is where I have to say that I'm sorry for causing you all this trouble. I was the one who found the single strand of hair that led to your cloning. GlaDos knew the potential in this discovery, and coerced me to recover the DNA of as many Supers as physically possible, including your parents and uncle. So in a sense, I was unwittingly and unwillingly part of her treacherous plan, until your father arrived and whisked me out of there."
[Stratogale:] I smiled and patted his feathery head.
"I can't stay mad at you. If it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't be here now. And me and dad wouldn't have been given this second chance. I think it's safe to call you our friend."
[Pluck:] For the first time in a long while, I smiled back - which is saying something, considering that I have a beak instead of lips. "You have done well, you two. I will owe you that for a very long time."
[Helen:] "So what do we do about this problem?" I asked. "If Aperture unleashes its own personal Super army, then it won't be long before everything we know is wiped off the face of the planet."
[Dash:] I was busy resting after my ticklish ordeal. "Well, maybe we should find Apogee and thunderhead, get the squall's + one Surge back together and then think of what to do?"
[Stratogale:] I nodded. Mom and Uncle Edward were soon to be free again. "Right!"
[Helen:] "Once we have those two out of there, the next problem will have to be extracting the Matrix trio."
[Pluck:] "Indeed. Those three are very powerful and dangerous, especially because they have developed superb battling skills in the computerized world from which they take their name."
[Splashdown:] "If Aperture is really planning something this bad, then how do we get rid of the army and stop their evil plan?"
[Helen:] "From what I can tell, nearly all the major Villainous plans have some kind of major factor that allows them to work. Get rid of that factor and everything goes down with a bang."
[Dash:] I could tell from the fact that Sarah's eyes were going all watery, that she didn't really care about all this. All she cared about was having a full family again. "Well...maybeee..all that can wait untill we get the family back together?"
[Pluck:] "Seeing that Apogee and Thunderhead are some of the spearhead weapons Aperture intends to use, I think that is a good idea."
[Splashdown:] "Then what are we waiting for? I need my wife and brother back, before they destroy the world!"
[Helen:] That was when my cell phone rang. I answered it on the second ring. "Hello?"
[Vi:] "Hey Mom! It's me."
[Helen:] "Vi! Goodness gracious, where were you and what took you so long?"
[Vi:] "Simply put, one of our old friends wants to speak with you." I handed the phone to Megamind's girlfriend, Roxanne... (You play as Roxanne)
[Roxanne:] My mother wo was a reporter too, used to do reports on supers like elastigirl and splashdown back in her day. like me, she got kidnapped allot too.
"Hi. I just want you to know Megamind, minion and your family are on the case."
[Helen:] "That's great! Have you found anything interesting yet?"
[Roxanne:] "We've found the place where Thunderhead and Apogee are being held. And it looks like there are some biiiiiiig plans for those two."
[Helen:] "You have? Where is it?"
[Bob:] I took the phone from Roxanne.
"Right under the sewers of Metrocity. Apertures been hiding their Supers well. The downside is the canisters are now reinforced so we can't break them out yet. looks like we'll be taking them home, canister and all."
[Helen:] "Good work, Honey. We'll be there as soon as we can."
I put the phone down. "Guys, how do you like going on a road trip?" (Dash)
[Dash:] Looks like mom said the magic woooords... I leapt to my feet and started bouncing round the room as if I was high on sugar (which I actually was).
"MEMEMMEEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME!" I cried eagerly.
[Splashdown:] "Whoa whoa! Calm down, little guy!"
[Stratogale:] I giggled and held him steady. "Hehehe, yeah a road trip sounds good."
[Helen:] "David, your wife and best friend are being held by Aperture in Metrocity. Vi and Dad are already on their way there alongside Megamind, Minion, and Roxanne. Suit up, guys. It's time to bust out the rest of the family. "

Metro City, 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 8, 1980
[Bob:] as usual the guy with the super strengh has to do ALL the heavy lifting. Apogee and Thunderhead's canisters weighed a ton on my back as we carried them out of the sewers. "Are we there yet?" I groaned. "I can't hold these things forever, you know!"
[Vi:] "Oh the irony," I commented. Usually it was one of us who said that. "Here, lemme help you out."
Taking Apogee's canister in my force field, I cut the carrying weight in half without a sweat. "I was going to ask you that question myself, as it turns out."
[Minion:] I took the other end of Thunderhead's canister. Somehow, we'd managed to get them both without causing an alarm, but as we had headed out the warning siren started blaring.
"Well, it's about a few hundred meters before we get out of the city. Of course, we won't have time to cover that distance before Aperture catches up with us though..." (Megamind or Roxanne)
[Megamind:] Thankfully, I was ready with my electro ray gun in case stuff got out of hand. It wasn't long before I saw Mr. Incredible appear with Vi and Minion in tow. Roxanne's van would hold the canisters on the journey back to Metroville.
"So, did all go well? Were you spotted by the security system?"
[Vi:] "We barely managed to get them out before the alarm went off," I explained as I loaded Apogee's canister into the back of the van and helped Thunderhead's in afterward. "We need to drive as fast as we can, before - "
Needless to say, that's where things go wrong.
My words were drowned out by a terrible, booming ROAR, as something huge and red burst out of the ground in front of us!
I screamed in terror. Looming high above us was an enormous Tyrannosaurus rex, its maw agape and ready to chew us to a pulp.
[Minion:] "Is that Devil Dinosaur?" I asked, pointing up at the thing. (Bob)
[Bob:] "Who?!" I yelled not knowing who or what that was.
[Vi:] "Remember Tronasaurus?" I said. "If he was a living creature, he'd be that thing! Dash told me about him once before, I think."
For the sake of identification, I will refer to him as DD. Just as I said this, he charged straight at us. I threw up a force field just in time, and he smacked into it, reeling back and roaring again.
[Bob:] As DD began to chase Vi, I took take of him in flash. I grabbed his tail and swug him around and around, launching him into the sea.
[Megamind:] I clapped excitedly as we bailed into the van with Bob. "Everyone IN!"
[Vi:] DD's roar shook the air as he rose from the water (We were close to the water) and charged at us again. As his head broke the waves I noticed the device on his head.
"APERTURE!" I shrieked, knowing exactly who was controlling it as we all rushed into the vehicles and started them up.
[Bob:] I was in the incrediblie as we rushed off , our only thought was to lose DD and get home saftly. I owed it to Sarah & david to do this by hook or by crook. "MINION!"
[Minion:] I turned my head (my entire fish body to be precise), just in time to see DD make landfall and strike at the van. Without thinking I floored the gas pedal and sped in the other way, the Incredibile following suit.
[Vi:] I took this opportunity to dial for help. "Hello? Mom?"
[Helen:] "What is it sweetie?"
[Vi:] "I've got good news and bad news. The good news, we've got Apogee and Thunderhead," I explained. "And the bad news..."
ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRR!!! I looked out the window and shrieked! DD was keeping pace with the van, and as I watched he slammed his head into it, just like the T-rex in Jurassic Park!
[Helen:] "Honey? What was that?"
[Vi:] "As it turns out," I said in fright, "Supers aren't the only beings Aperture has been cloning!" (Bob)
[Bob:] I took the phone from Vi and answered.
"helen honny, I KNOW this soiunds weird, buuuut...we're bbeing chased by a giant T-rex. "
[Helen:] "A T-rex?" I gasped. "What is this, Jurassic Park or something?" (Dash)
[Dash:] I was in the car with David and Sarah. "T-rex! Wow, this keeps getting cooler and cooler!"
[David:] "Not as cool as you think. I tangled with Devil Dinosaur once, and it wasn't pretty."
[Sarah:] I rolled my eyes, it didn't matter though. I would soon be with my mom and uncle again. It would be a good day.
[Vi:] Meanwhile, DD wasn't the only problem we had to face.
I looked up to see a group of rocket-propelled turrets in a V-formation, flying towards us from behind.
[Bob:] As soon as I saw those turrets, I knew we were in trouble. We would have probably died had Megamind not stepped in.
[Megamind:] I stuck my head out of the window and started blasting at the little buggers with my proton ray. 1 by one they alll blew up. One stray blast hit DD in the leg and he fell over in pain.
[Vi:] I sighed in relief, but the roar behind us told me that he'd be back. "Thanks, MM," I grinned as I watched DD scowl at us, then turn and head back to the facility.
[Minion:] "Okay, can we go home now? I don't think we should stay in this city now that Aperture knows about what we're doing..."
[Helen:] All of us met up just outside of Megamind's lair. Dash, Stratogale, Splashdown, and even Pluck followed me out of the car as Bob and Vi got out of the Incredibile, with Megamind and his friends dismounting their own vehicle as well.
"You okay, honey?" I asked, hugging my husband lovingly. (Bob)
[Bob:] I kissed my wife on the cheek and hugged back. "Yeah, i'm ok. wanna get Sarah redy for her big suprise? We need to try and open the canisters." I was excited for her as Dash ran out.
[Dash:] I zoomed over to dad and ran around him. "SOWHATHAPPENEDWITHTHET-REXDADHUHUHUH?"
[Vi:] "We took care of him... for now. He's gonna be back really soon, Aperture is making sure of it."
[Splashdown:] "For now, let's get inside. We need to return my wife and best friend to the living world."
[Stratogale:] We were inside Megamind's lair in a flash; I smiled as my eyes were covered by Helen's hands. "can I look yet?"
[Helen:] "Not yet, sweetie. Let's wait in the strategic chamber and start planning while Bob and Vi deal with the surprise."
[Vi:] "Good idea," I said. "By the way, what's with the chicken?"
[Pluck:] "This must be your daughter, right?"
[Vi:] "Holy crap! A talking chicken!"
After Colonel Pluck introduced himself and explained what he'd been through, we took the canisters to Megamind's lab and laid them on the floor. "Anything that we can do about them?" I asked.
[Megamind:] I looked at the canisters within. The liquid had turned to ice. "Just give us an hour and I'll have them freed."
[Pluck:] "If I can decipher the mechanics of the holding tank, I can cut that time in half. "
[Vi:] "Great! I guess we can afford to wait until then."
Dad and I joined the rest of the family and their friends in the strategy room, where Megamind had been taping news clippings of Aperture on every inch of wall.
[Helen:] "If GlaDos can be destroyed, Chell should know how," I said. "Vi, seeing that you know her, it would do some good for you to contact her right now."
[Vi:] "Probably," I said. "But we'll have to think this through somehow."
[Dash:] "yeah, but, couldn't we just put a computer Virus in her or something?"
[Sarah:] I said nothing, of course. I was taking a little nap before I met mom and my uncle again.
[Vi:] I smiled for Sarah's happiness. Hopefully, we'd get the rest of the Squall family back. And hopefully... Aperture was going to PAY.

Metro City, 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 8, 1980
[Vi:] Sooner or later, I felt the need to talk to Roxanne... Somehow, she must know a thing or two about the Aperture situation.
When I found her, she was hanging up newspaper clippings of Aperture, the way she used to whenever she was trying to figure something out./
"Roxanne?" I asked. "Can I come in?"
[Roxanne:] When I heard Vi's voice, I turned and saw her at the window. I knew that she knew more about the Aperture situation than I did, seeing that I had stumbled on it a mere day ago... not to mention that she was in the process freeing two more Supers. "Yeah, sure."
[Vi:] I came in. "Wow, look at all these clippings," I said. "You must have dug up quite a bit about Aperture from the papers over the years."
"Have you found anything interesting yet?"
[Roxanne:] I gave her a stern look. "Yes, apparently there was a robbery at the Metro City Aperture lab. Courtesy of you I suppose?"
[Vi:] "That was us, sort of. That was how we busted Sarah out."
"We would have had to go there anyway, though... Aperture gave us phone calls beforehand."
[Roxanne:] I rolled my eyes. "not Metroville silly." I said as I ruffled her hair. "Metro City. You know? Megamind's home?"
[Vi:] "Oh. Yeah, that was us too. Dad and I busted Apogee and Thunderhead out. Aperture sent this giant T-rex - I think of Tronasaurus - after us, but we managed to escape just before we got here."
[Roxanne:] I smiled at her. "Well thanks to you, Aperture has lost it's head generals in they're world takover plans. I bet Sarah is gonna be overjoyed to see them once they're out."
I paused to consider the rest of them. "Sadly, new ones have been chosen in the form of Dynaguy and Stormicide."
[Vi:] "How do you know of this?"
[Roxanne:] "A few people on the inside." I said as I settled down on the armchair near the coffee table. Apparently, Dynaguy's disintegration rays and Stormicide's gas-based powers would trump Apogee and Thunderhead's gravity/storm powers by a mile."
[Vi:] "Hmmm," I pondered as I looked at a newspaper clipping of Dynaguy. "Well, Dynaguy's disintegration ray could have a similar result to Tighten's laser beams. And under Aperture's control, Stormicide can probably wipe out entire cities at once."
"The problem is, how is Aperture going to carry out this plan of theirs?"
[Roxanne:] "I dunno." I said as I pasted the clippings down. "I wonder if the canisters are thawing yet?"
[Vi:] I peered out the window. Megamind and Colonel Pluck were politely (sort of) arguing about the structure of the locking mechanism.
"It's taking a while," I said. "But whatever the case we'd better start doing something about it before Aperture releases..."
Then I noticed something. The arrangement of the clippings, if you squinted at the assembly, seemed to form something...
[Roxanne:] I saw the look on her face. "what are you looking at?"
[Vi:] My eyes widened as I realized what I was seeing. Aperture's logo... only it wasn't just Aperture. The logo was superimposed over another logo, one that looked oddly familiar.
"Roxanne... I'd hate to say this, but I don't think Aperture is limited to Metrocity, Metroville, or whatever. This is a worldwide organization we're talking here. And they intend to control the entire planet if they succeed."
I took out my phone, and looked through the speed dial while Roxanne took in the meaning of my words.
[Megamind:] Meanwhile, in the expanded van, that dumb chicken general was making things SO. FREAKING. HARD!
"Listen, you feathered fiend, this is NOT rocket science. All I need is to blast the lock with my psionic blast and it'll open!"
[Pluck:] "I understand that you want to do this quickly, but there's a possibility that it won't work that way. The system may be unstable - if you damage it we may not be able to open the lock, or worse!"
"There has to be some authentication system. I just have to find out where it is..."
[Dash:] Booooooriiiing. man were these 2 morons gonna fight ALL DAY?! Man, I had to do something while they wern't looking or I was gonna die of boredom.
So I tiptoed past the two and looked at the canisters, and proceeded to bust the system with a few jolts. Once the locks were out, the heat did the rest.
[Pluck:] As soon as I heard the sizzling, I looked at the locking system. Somehow, the electricity had caused the locks to deactivate...
BOOM! Apogee's canister exploded, and the young woman inside rose upwards... Her eyes glowed red, TURRET RED!
"Oh no!" I gasped. "It's already started to sink in!"
[Sarah:] I rushed over, aroused by the commotion. That's when I saw her... Mom, up and out of her canister. But then I saw the eyes, and I knew something was wrong. "Mom?"
[Pluck:] Apogee rose into the air, and spoke in the monotonous voice I knew all too well. "Prepare... to be ELIMINATED!"
Everyone scattered as she let loose a powerful gravity bolt! It shattered one of the tables, scattering Minion's cookies everywhere!
[Vi:] I heard the explosion. Roxanne and I rushed over to the scene... Apogee was floating there, her glowing red eyes boring down on Sarah! (Sarah)
[Sarah:] I got out of the way and ran over to her. "Mom, it's me, Sarah." My eyes began to tear up. "Don't you know who I am..."
[Pluck:] But Apogee didn't recognize her daughter. She blasted her away with a gravity bolt, sending her crashing to the floor.
"Stratogale!" I cried. I needed to get my Stompybot before Apogee could destroy the lab! (Sarah)
[Sarah:] I didn't move, I could've, but I didn't. This was all too much. Mom was now under Aperture's control. There was no reason left to live. "I-I love...you...Mom..."
[Splashdown:] My daughter was in pain. I had to do something before I lost her. "Katherine!" I cried. "I'm - "
[Pluck:] But Apogee rounded on her own husband this time. She slammed him to the ground, pinning him under his own weight. "We do not care," she said. "The world will soon be ours!"
[Vi:] Thinking fast, I threw up a forcefield, trapping Apogee inside. "Pluck! Do you have anything that can save her?" I cried.
[Pluck:] "Keep her at bay! I just upgraded my Stompybot and I've been meaning to test out the taser gun system!"
While the other Supers tried to bring Apogee under control, I rushed over to the garage to fetch the Stompybot... (Sarah)
[Sarah:] As I got up I hobbled to the sofa and fell onto it before passing out. The last thing I saw before that was the sight of Mom closing in on Dad and my friends.
[Pluck:] At long last, I managed to start up the Stompybot. "Here goes nothing," I said.
The walker roared to life, and as I slammed the gas pedal it charged, bursting out of the garage and slamming into Apogee.
She flew through the air and crashed to the floor.
[Helen:] Bob and I arrived just in time to see the carnage. Then we noticed Thunderhead's canister.
Apogee crash-landed into the garage, then rose into the air again, more feebly this time. Colonel Pluck's Stompybot loomed over her, and as we watched he pressed a button, and a huge taser gun sprouted from the bottom and gave her a nasty jolt.
Her eyes refocused for a brief moment, but remained red as she squared up her new target.
But her reactions were slower this time... "Bob!" I cried, realizing something I hadn't known for a while. (Bob)
[Bob:] As soon as I saw Apogee aiming a gravity charge at me, I knew there wouldn't be much time to get out of the way, I jumped over her and saw a sort of circle with the Aperture logo on it. Some sort of device was strapped to her back, and it was controlling her.
"hold on, I have an idea!" and I smashed the device to pieces.
[Helen:] Apogee's eyes were still red... She was losing focus fast. But then I realized something...
[Pluck:] Outside, the sun was being blocked up by huge, dark storm clouds.
Then a bolt of lighting hit Apogee in the face, causing her to fly back and crash to the wall, finishing off the last of the Aperture device.
Thunderhead was floating in the air before us all. Apogee blinked, her eyes returned to their standard dark blue Violet.
[Apogee:] "W-what happened?"
[Dash:] I looked at Apogee in shock. She must have been under some heavy mind controll to not remember.
[Sarah:] As I came to, I looked up and saw Mom's eyes from her helmet's visor. And then I saw uncle Thunderhead floating over her. "M-mom? Uncle Thunderhead?"
[Apogee:] As soon as I heard my daughter's voice, I realized what was happening. "S-Sarah? Is that you?"
[Vi:] And as soon as I heard Apogee's voice, I knew we had done it. Oh, I mean... I looked at Dash's smug grin, and realized that HE had done it. Well, at least he had helped.
[Pluck:] "I think it worked," I said. "Apogee's powers depend on sunlight to charge up. Of course that WOULD be a problem underground but, well..."
[Dash:] "Aww quit talking." I said, "it's obvious HE freed Apogee." and I pointed at thunderhead. "isn't that right thunderhead?"
[Thunderhead:] "Well...i eeeeerrr..." I had NO clue what was happening, all I could remember was being blown up by a misile. then I saw Apogee, then my little neice and my best friend. "Sarah? Katie? David?"
[Apogee:] "W-where are we?" I asked, too confused to make of it all.
[David:] "Where? We're back. Back in the living world."
[Sarah:] All my dreams had come true at once. mom was back dad was back, I was back, Uncle Thunderhead was back, we were all back, I ran into dad's arms as mom was held close by him.
[Edward:] I didnm't know what the hell was going on. all I knew was that it seemed good. so I joined in with the hugging.
[Helen:] I hugged my own son. "You did it, Dash."
[Vi:] "No," I corrected her. "WE did it."
[Helen:] "So now where does that leave us?"
[Vi:] "Step 2, of course... Breaking out the rest of the army."
[Minion:] That was when I came in with another tray of cookies. "Uh, sorry I'm late," I said. "What did I miss?"

Metro City, 6:00 PM, Saturday, March 8, 1980
[Dash:] We soon arived home, and Megamind,minion, Roxanne and the colonel all drove back to Metro City, meanwhile the parrs and the squall's were going inside the house to celebrate the return of thunderhead and Apogee.
[Sarah:] it was the happiest day of my young life. fiinally after over 15 years, I had my family back. as we stepped inside I hugged my mom tightly around her waist. "Welcome back..."
[Katherine:] "I - I don't know what to say. Thank you, all of you."
"You gave us all a second chance. We now have an opportunity to rebuild our lives, all of us, because of you."
I smiled down at Colonel Pluck. "And kudos to you as well."
[Pluck:] "What can I say?" I said. "I just did what I had to."
[Bob:] I smiled. "it's great to have you guys back. all of you. I have a feeling that you and us re gonna work great together. and I have lots to tell ya."
[Edward:] "sooo...lemmie get this straight." I said. "we're...clones?"
[Vi:] "Aperture has been busy," I said. "They intend to enslave them using mind-control and take over the world. It's like the Matrix, only with superheroes thrown in."
[Dash:] and we have to stop um." I said, giving Apogee a playful rib tickle as I zoomed behind her. "do you guys think you can help?"
[Kate:] "Ehehehehehehey! XD Yeah, I think we can... It's possible that Aperture may find other alternatives to us out there."
[Vi:] "Like Dynaguy and Thunderhead? Superman? Neo even?"
[Kate:] "Maybe. I'm just amazed and horrified that they have the actual audacity to use us against our own people."
[Sarah:] "well you know what gamma jack once said right? all that nonsence about supers being betters than normal humans? maybe Aperture took what he said seeriously?"
[Edward:] I chuckled and picked her up. "Oh please, Sarah. No one in their right mind would take Jack seriously."
[Vi:] "I wouldn't bet on that," I said, remembering all those canisters...
"I could've sworn that Gamma Jack was one of the Supers being cloned or something."
[Helen:] "Let's not worry about that dear," I said. "We need to get the neighbors' housing arranged."
[Vi:] "You go on ahead," I said. "I'll be in my room with Sarah - I need to call someone."
[Sarah:] After a kiss from mom, dad and uncle. I left for my bff's room. I snuggled into the bed as I lay it it. I was tired. it had been a VERY busy day. but it had been worth it, oh HELL it had been worth it. "So, who ya callin?"
[Vi:] "Chell. Again."
I looked through the speed dial and called the number.
[Chell:] I was back at my apartment, painting my toenails as Vi called me. "Hello?"
[Vi:] "Hey Chell. What's up? What are you doing?"
[Chell:] "Just painting my tootsie nails pink. What about you?"
[Vi:] I giggled. Classic Chell. "Lemme guess. That Companion Cube got stuck in your head again, didn't it? Haha, just joking. Anyways, I've found some new things, and I seriously think we should meet again to take Aperture on once more."
[Chell:] "Have you been at them again huh? Have you freed Apogee and T.H.?"
[Vi:] "We did. The problem is that the Aperture control device was already installed on Apogee, so it took us quite a while to get it off."
"I have a bad feeling that some of the other Supers may already be under GlaDos's control, and it will take us quite a bit of effort to save them." (Chell)
[Chell:] I hung my head. "For some, it may already be too late. I hear Stratogale's ex-boyfriend Macroburst was the second of the Supers to get cloned. Metaman was the first and Hypershock the third."
I sighed as I painted a little companion cube on my tootsies. "So, what are you gonna do for the rest of the day?"
[Vi:] "Strategize, now that you mention it. Sarah is probably not going to like hearing what you just said... I guess it would do me some good to explain this whole thing to her. Oh, and while on that subject, I think you should come with us next time we go bust out more heroes. You would probably know a few useful things."
[Chell:] "Yeah you're right. well, I gotta go, i'm going out with a few friends for Chinese tonight. See ya." I put the phone down, and waited for my toes to dry and got dressed.
[Vi:] "Okay. Bye." I put my own phone down, and turned to my BFF with a horrified expression. "Uh... Sarah?" (Sarah)
[Sarah:] I snuggled into the bed and looked at her as my pony tauil fell over my face. "yes?"
[Vi:] "They've... They've got..." I didn't know how to explain. "Sarah, do you know who Macroburst is?"
[Sarah:] "Sure I do." I said "He was Everseer's sidekick before he took up a super carreer of his own. He was also my boyfriend. What about him?"
[Vi:] "Well... Chell says he was the second Aperture test subject. I have a bad feeling he's already under their control."
[Sarah:] I shrugged. "Meh, the sooner we take him out the better. All he ever did was whine about how poorly everseer treated him, even though he gave Macroburst the best of everything." I smirked. "Including a bit of his OCD."
[Vi:] "OCD? In what sense?"
[Sarah:] I rolled closer to Vi and explaned. "He couldn't stand getting his hand's dirty. OK, maybe not on Everseers level, but close. And we all know how much of a germaphobe Everseer was."
[Vi:] "I see... But how did he meet you? And were you two the same age when you first met each other?"
[Sarah:] I yawned. "It's a loooong story Vi. VERY long. I'll tell you about it some other time." And with that I closed my eyes, and went to sleep.
[Vi:] I wondered what had happened between the two of them. But for now, I guess that could wait. Maybe tomorrow, I'd get some better answers from Sarah Squall... and tickle those feet again.
